Tassie’s Tassal – Mark

Our People

I’m proud to lead an organisation of 1,300 people who are truly passionate about the work they do and the communities they live in. Given we operate in regional Tasmanian areas, where the need for stable employment and opportunity is critical – it has been heartwarming to be part of positive change for many families who we have been able to provide employment to in these areas. Partnering with local skills and trade institutions, manufacturing, logistics and feed businesses, community and environment groups, as well as schools and apprentice programs, has made us proud to be part of positive social and economic growth for our State. While we are a big team of people now, we are deeply connected to our Tasmanian roots and it is the commitment to make a difference to the communities where we operate which inspires us to be among global leaders for our industry, for the benefit of our local regions. Being the first company in the world to achieve ASC certification across all our sites in 2014, was a significant achievement for our company. My team’s innovation, commitment to their community and focus on continuous improvement inspires me everyday. I am very proud to lead Tassal.

Community Foundation

We are proud to outline our commitment to communities in which we operate through our Community Foundation.  Our Foundation is underpinned by four core community pillars: health & well-being; youth & education; environmental stewardship; and social inclusion. It is guided by our values, with objectives in place to ensure both our company and communities are mutual beneficiaries of the Tassal vision: to create a better tomorrow.
