From the Cannonvale Swim Club
Cannonvale Swim Club Vice President Jade Korosec said Tassal’s support as a major has been transformative, enabling the club to invest in top-quality coaching, equipment, and opportunities for our junior swimmers.
“As a result, we’ve information strengthened our club’s programs, empowered young athletes to compete at higher levels, and enhanced the overall sporting experience for the broader community. Ultimately, this partnership enriches our region by fostering talent, encouraging active lifestyles, and building a sense of pride and unity across North Queensland.”
During 2024 the club were able to invite Shaun Crow for a weekend training session.
“It is quite a big expense to invite specialist trainers to our club due to our location. Harrison Turner was recently accepted into the Australian Dolphins team to attend the Budapest World Champs so to have him swim in our pool with the kids was a major milestone and we were all very excited when he become a dolphin late last year.”
“One of Shaun’s swimmers, Harrison Turner, shared his journey with the attendees. At 20 years old, Harrison is a top Australian 200m Butterfly swimmer who trains with Shaun at Nudgee College. He also assisted Shaun with coaching throughout the clinic and enjoyed working with all the swimmers,” Jade said.
