Community Advisory Groups

Tassal’s Community Advisory Groups (CAGs) provide a forum for local community members to connect directly with Tassal, share information and discuss matters relevant to our operations and the community.

Our purpose

Our Community Advisory Groups aim to:

Facilitate open communication between Tassal and local communities.
Exchange information about Tassal’s planning, activities and operations.
Raise awareness of and discuss local community interests and concerns.
Identify opportunities for Tassal to support and collaborate with local communities.

Topics we may discuss

Topics may include:

Environmental performance and outcomes.
Social and economic opportunities.
Conservation initiatives.
Regional economic impacts.
Marine debris clean-ups and other collaborative community events.
Shared resources and local amenity.
Recreational use of waterways.
Other matters raised by members or the broader community.

What is involved?

Community Advisory Group members are expected to:

Commit the time and effort needed to participate in the group.
Contribute local knowledge, ideas and community perspectives.
Suggest topics for meeting agendas.
Share relevant information with their wider community or networks.
Listen respectfully and be open to different views and ideas.
Attend two meetings each year.
